Item Description
Lumos transforms timid students into confident communicators in an encouraging, supportive, learning environment. We make critical thinking fun: we've developed dozens of argumentation games that our students absolutely love. By the time we move on to full fledged debates, our labs are already buzzing with ideas, laughs, and smiles. And we play capture the flag, kickball, and other outdoor activities that give our students a well deserved break.
The Lumos Young Speakers Program is a great way for young students to get started with public speaking and debate! This is a 1-week session for students who are rising grades 4 – 6 (currently grades 3 – 5). Each class will have 10-12 students and two teachers – always a 6:1 student to teacher ratio or better.
