Item Description
This Kay MacDonald print from an original acrylic painting suggests that "You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day, unless you’re too busy then you should sit for an hour." It's from her Art with a Message collection.
"All of my life," she says, "I have collected quotes and been a philosophical seeker-student. In this series, I've tried to pick the most succinct and meaningful quotes, in hopes that they may be of inspiration to some special recipient."
The seated figure is meant to look ethereal, like a "spirit" in seated meditation.
Kay says, "I believe that art should be cheerful, portray the mysterious, and use minimalism to rest the mind." She finds inspiration in modern abstract art and Eastern influences.
