Item Description

You are bidding on Copper Bottlenose Dolphins Sculptures by Mark Noll!

A pair of repurposed-copper Bottlenose Dolphins metal sculptures. These marine mammal pieces are each 16 inches long and 7 inches high. They have the same life-like glass eyes that taxidermists use.

Hand shaped and formed from a copper sheet using metalworking chisels, punches, hammers, and mallets. The naturally-aged copper sheet was discovered at a local scrap metal yard.

The verdigris blue-green patina interacts with the aged copper surface to create a striking marbling effect. The surfaces are brushed with a Permalac clear coating to preserve the color and finish, and buffed with layers of patina wax. Copper wire loops are inserted for hanging.

Use and care: These pieces can show inside or out and look great on a wall or an outside space. The protective coating has UV protection and has been tested to last at least 10 years outdoors.

Ocean Futures Society feels so lucky to be able to offer you a chance to bid on these very special Bottlenose Dolphins sculptures donated by our friend, Mark Noll. They will look great hanging on your wall or in your garden!
