Joshua Ben Paskowitz has recently burst onto the surf art scene. His impressionistic recreations of iconic surf heroes have been showing to rave reviews across Southern California.
Just hours after Joshua Paskowitz was born, his parents brought him straight from the hospital to the sands of San Onofre. It was decades ago, and the secluded beach lined with cliffs wedged between Orange County and San Diego was their home where Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz and wife Juliette raised their nine children inside a 24-foot trailer. Joshua left his parents and the camper life when he was 13 and went on to live several lifetimes’ worth of adventures—wandering the streets of San Clemente, befriending bands such as Sublime, opening for The Rolling Stones and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and scoring a hit with 1998’s “Got You (Where I Want You)” with a band called the Flys. From there he went to work with his brothers as a surf instructor at Paskowitz Surf Camp for a few years before winding up at an art gallery.
As an artist, Joshua puts his unconventional upbringing and family on display in his art. He hopes people find it entertaining and uplifting. He says, "I'm not a famous artist, I'm a Paskowitz! That’s the fun part! The art’s just a reflection of that.”

Packing, shipping, and handling are not included. Boards can be picked up at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel or purchaser can arrange for shipping. Boards will be available for pick up or shipping on, or after, Monday, January 6, 2020. Boards must be picked up no later than January 31, 2020.
You'll have to include your credit card information to hold your bid but you will not be charged. If you win, the resort will be in touch directly to collect payment.
