Item Description

These six bottles of wine will make you the host/hostess with the mostest...delicious wine.

Six phenomenal California wines from 2013: two Kistler chardonnays, two Kosta Browne pinot noirs, and two Occidental (Kistler) pinot noirs. "Wine Enthusiast" magazine says that 2020 is the perfect time to drink these wines...or share six feet apart. That's your call.

Here's what you'll get:

2 x 2013 Kistler Chardonnay - Sonoma - 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2013 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard, planted in 1979 with Old Wente in red volcanic soils, is a stunner. Deep, concentrated, full-bodied notes of white currants, lemon oil, apple blossom, white peach and honeysuckle are all present in this beautiful wine. Drink through 2023." ($139 x 2)

1 x 2013 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir - Gap's Crown - 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:

"From a large vineyard (Gap's Crown is roughly 130 acres), the 2013 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard comes from a smaller 37-acre parcel owned by Kosta Browne, which lies at an elevation of 1,000 feet above sea level. Harvest all towards the end of September and aged 16 months in 51% new French oak, it has a slightly darker slant in its wild strawberry, black raspberry, spice and sappy flower stem-like aromas and flavors. Elegant, seamless and downright pretty, it grows on you with time in the glass and is a gorgeous Pinot Noir to drink over the coming decade." ($119)

1 x 2013 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir - Rosella's Vineyard - 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:

"A classic representation of this first rate site, the 2013 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard offers a pretty, perfumed style in its black raspberry, rose petal, violets and floral bouquet. Tight, reserved and slightly backwards, it has beautiful purity of fruit and ample tannin, which is a defining character in the vintage. It's another effort from this team that needs short term cellaring." ($139)

1 x 2013 Occidental (Kistler) "SWK Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir  - 96 points

"The 2013 Pinot Noir SWK Vineyard is the most tannic and structured of these Pinots from Occidental. As such, it is going to need at least a few years in bottle to unwind. Beams of chalky tannin underpin a deeply expressive Pinot endowed with intensely mineral and savory overtones. Vivid and beautifully sculpted throughout, the 2013 is impressive, even in the early going." ($110)

1 x 2013 Occidental (Kistler) Bodega Headlands - Cuvee Elizabeth - 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2013 Pinot Noir Bodega Headlands Cuvee Elizabeth displays black raspberries, black and red currants, beautiful purity, a deep, almost DRC-like complexity because of the forest floor, and ethereal lightness in spite of rather intense fruit notes. This beauty should age gracefully for a decade. Steve Kistler’s personal project on the Sonoma Coast appears under the name Occidental Wines. He makes about 1,000 cases of these wines. These are all impressive and suggest a brilliant future for his three Pinot Noir vineyards." ($159)
