Item Description
From the book The Birds of America, by John James Audubon (1785-1851). This is the "Ruby-Throated Humming Bird" plate, matted and framed. Ten birds are bustling around the colorful flowers in this depiction. Note that the print was matted without showing the usual accompanying text at the bottom of the sheet, as would be noticeable in the book. The print measures about 19 x 23 inches. Framed and matted, the finished piece measures 28,75 x 33.5 inches. Has a sturdy wire hanger on the back. The frame has a few surface dings that could be fixed. This stunning visual could fill the blank wall of a devoted bird watcher's home.
