Item Description
Using printed image transfer, our 8th graders put portraits of themselves and some favorite LES memories onto wooden circles and squares. Because it is the glue that bonds the ink to the wood, the paper is dampened and rubbed away, revealing a mirror image of the picture that was printed. Some areas still contain traces of paper or have been scrubbed away and this gives the whole piece a weathered look. All their individual images have been assembled into a single wall-hanging display that represents the incredible time our soon-to-be-highschoolers have had at LES. Can you believe it's almost over? We learned to ride our big wheels then we learned to ride our bikes. Next thing we know, it will be a car. But, we will never forget our childhood at LES.
