True to the spirit of chamber music, Salastina performs in intimate, comfortable venues of acoustic and aesthetic beauty. Our Eastside home is Barrett Hall at the Pasadena Conservatory. ORCHESTRA FAMILY CONNECTION: We have attended for years and it's one of the things we are eagerly looking forward to getting back to when the pandemic is over. One thing that makes Salastina concerts so unique and special is that before the performance Brian Lauritsen of the classical radio station KUSC gives an informal explanation of the piece we're about to hear. It might be about the importance of a 19th Century African-American composer or it might be asking an individual musician to play a particularly evocative part that he'd like us to listen to. The result is a wonderfully immersive and intimate experience with some musicians of the very highest calibre.

Winning bidder will be notified in May and item will be available for pickup in Santa Monica at that time by mutual arrangement. Alternatively items can be emailed where possible or mailed/shipped at the expense of the winning bidder, and tracking number can be provided. Thereafter, the shipping company or agency, not Samohi Orchestras, is responsible for successful delivery. In the event that a company, organization or event goes out of business, is cancelled, or is no longer able to provide the donated service, your contribution will become a tax-deductible donation to Samohi Orchestras and no refunds will be issued.
