Item Description
Acrylic on canvas
The man facing you in this painting represents the homeless population of Winnipeg. He feels useless and has lost his grip on the last shred of hope. But the light-the light shining from within him represents his worth. His worth is that of shimmering gold.
Artist Alissa Dueck, originally painted this piece during the Lighthouse Missionn Banquet inn 2019 during her senior year in highschool here in Manitoba. Now 20 years old, she has since travelled to Thailand, Hong Kong, and Germany for missions. She currently lives and works in France with the aim of becoming fluent in her third language - French.
