Our mission is to provide an atmosphere in which students learn to succeed at playing musical instruments as individuals and as a group. The band program is dedicated to presenting students with music for the sole purpose of enriching the students??A?A? total education. The program seeks to prepare students for success in the All-District and All-State Bands, solo and ensemble competition and in the Hazel Green High School Band. The band program has a set goal of achieving superior ratings at all festivals and competitions each year. The Band Parent Association hosts an annual Auction to help support the continued operation of the band program and provide equipment and maintenance of instruments. Our last Auction was a tremendous success thanks to generous donors like you, netting nearly $14,500. This enabled us to purchase 2 ??A?-sized Tubas, 2 Baritones, a Sousaphone, a set of Concert Bells & stand, as well as set aside $4,000 to offset costs of this year??A?A?s competition trip to Atlanta. In addition to raising funds for annual operations and maintenance, our goals for the proceeds with the 2014-2015 Auction are to purchase two new French Horns as well as refurbish an advanced level euphonium. We would also like to allocate a percentage of this year??A?A?s Auction profit toward next year??A?A?s Competition Band trip to Nashville to help offset the cost so more students will be able to participate.
