The University of Southern California's Volunteer Center is a primarily student-run department within the Division of Student Affairs. It is dedicated to promoting volunteerism and service in both the greater Los Angeles and global community. The Alternative Breaks program plays a significant role in the Volunteer Center as it cultivates a unique opportunity for students, staff and faculty to engage in service learning and volunteerism in communities outside of the Los Angeles area. Alternative Breaks travel both domestically and internationally and delve into some of the most pressing issues facing our generation today.
