The Montana Council provides a detailed program of values-based education for the youth of Montana. As a part of these programs, the Montana Council employs field professionals in each of our major population centers (Billings, Great Falls, Kalispell, Missoula, Butte, Miles City/Sidney, Havre and Bozeman) and provides camping facilities near Butte, Kalispell, Lewistown and Polson. Age-appropriate guidelines divide our programs. Tiger Cubs, BSA serves boys in the first grade. Cub Scouting serves boys from 7 years through 11 years old. Boy Scouting serves young men from 11 years through 18 years old. Varsity Scouting serves young men from 14 through 18 years old. Venturing serves youth (boys and girls) from 14 through 20 years old. Exploring serves young adults (boys and girls) from 14 through 20 years old. And, Learning for Life, our school-based program, serves youth (boys and girls) through their school years.
