The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer is an annual fundraising endurance walk that takes participants through 30 miles of Atlanta over the course of 2 days. The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer’s founder, Randi Passoff, began the 2-Day Walk in 2002 when the Avon 3-Day Walk faced financial difficulty and pulled out of Atlanta. Randi’s goal was to create a fundraising event where money raised stayed right in the communities of the participants. We call the 2-Day “the kinder and gentler breast cancer walk” because we strive to include passionate individuals at different levels of physical and fundraising ability- walkers can walk all 30 miles, or just choose to walk 10 miles on one day. Since 2002, the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer has funded 371 grants totaling $15 million to support breast health and breast cancer programs throughout Georgia. Our motto is “What’s raised in Georgia stays in Georgia.”
