The Brightspirit Relief Fund is a charitable effort set up in memory of Emmy Grace Cherry, age 10, who was killed on February 5, 2008, when a tornado ravaged Central Arkansas. The fund is administered by Emmy's grandmothers, Kay Cherry and Elaine Kizer, and will support causes that were important to Emmy: animal organizations, literacy organizations, and storm relief. The Brightspirit Relief Fund is set up as an endowment under the Arkansas Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.
