The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The American Red Cross of Northern New Jersey responds to over 350 disasters each year throughout Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic and Warren counties. Our Chapter services include disaster relief, blood services, disaster and emergency preparedness training, health and safety courses, military and international services, Braille transcription and volunteer and youth opportunities.
