Catalina Island Medical Center Foundation welcomes you to An Evening with Oscar 2017!

The Catalina Island Medical Center Foundation will hold its 6^th Annual An Evening with Oscar fundraising gala on Sunday evening, February 26, 2017 in the Avalon Casino Ballroom.  Funds raised on Bidding for Good and the auction at the gala will support the ongoing and future needs of the Catalina Island Medical Center.  The Foundation is setting aside 1/3 of the funds in the Dr. Robert Staff Planned Giving Fund for the reconfiguration or replacement of the Catalina Island Medical Center.

The Catalina Island Medical Center is a 12-bed rural designated hospital on Catalina Island off the coast of Southern California.  It has the capability of meeting the majority of the needs of the Avalon community and its visitors to the island.  In addition to a fully staffed and equipped emergency room, the Medical Center treats patients in the clinic, has physical therapy and occupational therapy services, and patients who reside in the Skilled Nursing Facility wing.

Most recently the Foundation has supported the Medical Center and the Avalon community by providing the funds for a bone density (DexaScan) machine, new radiology equipment, refurbishment of the Medical Center patient and public rooms, and a color retinal camera.  It is in the process of providing the funds for a new EKG machine and security cameras for the perimeter of the Medical Center.  The Foundation feels privileged to be able to provide financial support in this way and looks forward to meeting its needs in the future.  Thank you very much for your support.  It is sincerely appreciated and gratefully accepted.
