On October 21st at the Boston Hyatt Regency, we’re celebrating LSO’s award-winning Healing Art of Music Program, a community partnership program established by the LSO in 1991 that has, to date, enabled 50 of Boston’s most deserving nonprofits raise awareness and over $2,000,000.

This year, LSO’s celebration is particularly special as we honor one of the founders of the Healing Art of Music Program, Dr. Susan Pauker, as the 2017 LSO Community Champion. Sue has been part of the LSO community for almost 30 years, as a violinist and former Board Chair. One of the most beloved educators and mentors at Harvard Medical School, she is a visionary leader, prominent pediatrician, geneticist, and passionate proponent of diversity in Boston.

Become an event sponsor!

The LSO has a lot to celebrate, and we’re inviting YOU to be a special part of the celebration. We’re currently seeking sponsors for the event, and we’d be thrilled to add you and/or your organization to the list!

Why support the LSO and attend this special evening?

  • The award-winning orchestra has garnered a national reputation as a leader in the integration of music, medicine, and community service. Our musician members represent 17 hospitals across New England and all three Boston medical schools.
  • During the 2016-2017 season, we collaborated with four stellar organizations that bring healthcare to our most medically vulnerable. Together, our music helped raise nearly $400,000 to help support their programs.
  • New orchestras and ensembles are springing up in medical schools and hospitals across the country as the next generation of young musicians in healthcare are inspired by LSO’s work.
