Greater Lawrence Family Health Center’s signature fundraising event, the Making a Difference Gala, is coming up this spring!

Greater Lawrence Family Health Center’s 14th Annual Making a Difference Gala will be held at Andover Country Club on Thursday, April 11. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the program set to begin at 6 p.m.

This year, Eastern Bank Chairman & CEO Bob Rivers will be the featured speaker and honorary chair at our night of dinner, drinks and fun. Rivers is known for his commitment to social justice, regularly fighting for the causes of women, communities of color and LGBTQ people — marginalized demographics that make up a significant part of GLFHC’s patient population.

During the event, the health center will also honor Essex County Community Foundation for their tireless work collecting and distributing money in the wake of the Merrimack Valley gas disaster on Sept. 13, 2018. Over 100 employees and many more patients of GLFHC were affected by the fires and explosions, and ECCF’s Greater Lawrence Disaster Relief Fund helped many of these Merrimack Valley residents take a step back toward their normal lives.

Essex County Community Foundation

Greater Lawrence Family Health Center cares for approximately 61,000 patients in the region, a majority of whom are underserved. All of the funding the health center receives from its generous donors goes to creating and maintaining access to care for patients who may not be able to afford health care otherwise.

The Making a Difference Gala is a fun way for members of our community to come together in support of our mission while recognizing others in the Merrimack Valley who make a difference.

(This year, guests will hear from featured speaker Bob Rivers and Essex County Community Foundation President & CEO Beth Francis, who will be accepting the Making a Difference Award on behalf of her organization. They'll also have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction and raffle while enjoying a delicious dinner provided by Andover Country Club.)
