Silent Victims of Crime is getting ready for a Virtual Opera Under The Stars Gala and an online auction fundraiser.
Starting on November 14, 2020, Silent Victims of Crime will host a virtual event this year due to Covid 19. We will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to help raise money for our organization.
Join us from anywhere in the country or the world! This phenomenal event will feature opera singers, jazz performers, and more entertainment.

Brief History Of Our Organization
Silent Victims of Crime (SVC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was first established 24 years ago in 1996 by Paulette Preiffer, a philanthropist with a passion for working with children whose parents/caregivers are incarcerated. Silent Victims of Crime was the first program of its kind in the United States. When we started there was no other program with the sole purpose of addressing the needs of children with incarcerated parents. Since its founding, Silent Victims of Crime itself is assisting over 1000 children of prisoners and their incarcerated parents through positive, interactive theme related prison visitations and other programs such as our Leadership Program, Birthday Club, and Summer Camp. From the original 42 children in our program (who were ages 5-11 at the time), 38 of them are either in college, have graduated from college or are practicing careers. An impressive result considering that the children of inmates are six times, or 72% more likely to go to prison themselves. We have broken the intergenerational cycle of incarceration for two generations.
