Artist Reception and Gala

The event will use art to call upon the automatic subconscious stereotyping that takes place in our society with the goal of breaking the stigmas that deter those in need from seeking help for eating disorder treatment and mental illness. Join us at Mirepoix, upstairs at Holiday Market in Royal Oak on Thursday, November 7th, 2013 for an evening of art, entertainment, and education to raise awareness about eating disorders in everyday life. Enjoy wine, strolling appetizers and dessert to piped in music, while exploring the gallery of specially curated local submissions to be sold in advance on-line in a virtual auction. Explore our patients' artwork that illustrates respective stories along with plans for our new and larger healing space in Royal Oak. Money raised from the event will be used: - To provide awareness and outreach programs for those who struggle with Eating Disorders along with their friends and family. - To assist with treatment efforts. - To enhance our healing space for patient treatment.
