2012 Annual Benefit & Awards Dinner

The Center for Fiction's Annual Benefit & Awards Dinner has become a cherished event in the literary community, and one of the few festive gatherings of distinguished authors and the leading editors and agents in the publishing world. This year, we will be honoring Deborah Treisman, the esteemed Fiction Editor of The New Yorker, and announcing the 2012 winner of the Flaherty-Dunnan First Novel Prize to one of eight finalists. The celebrated writer Ian McEwan will present Ms. Treisman with the Maxwell E. Perkins Award while the brilliant short-story writer George Saunders will take the reigns as the evening's emcee and Pulitzer Prizing-winning author Jennifer Egan and New Yorker Editor-in-Chief David Remnick will serve as the Honorary Co-Chairs.
