"On my very first trip to Ghana, following the performance of some rituals one of the women elders became âÂA?¨"possessed." I asked if I could shoot photographs of herand was told that I was welcome âÂA?¨to but that they would probably not come out. When I returned the US and developed the film, I was amazed to find manyâÂA?¨layers of multiple images on top of the photographs of the woman I treasure this roll of film, which âÂA?¨has never been shown before. The film has not been cut as the images run in âÂA?¨between the spaces as well.”

Cary recently displayed work with her NGO Africa LIVE! and its collaborativeâÂA?¨projects with UNICEF and the Carter Center which focus on the crucial âÂA?¨water and âÂA?¨sanitation issues plaguing Northern Ghana at Electric Lodge in Venice, CA.âÂA?¨
