Artist Bio:

Peg Usner is a lifelong artist and retired professor of interior design. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Louisiana Tech, and her Master?s in History at the University of New Orleans.

In New Orleans, Peg was the first Artist in Residence at Longue Vue House and Gardens (2015 ? 2018), where she taught painting and presented her solo show ?Impressions: NOLA, Northshore and Beyond?. The St. Tammany Art Association has been displaying Peg?s work since 1997 and featured her in a 2017 solo show entitled ?The Intimacy of Plein Air Painting?. Also that year, the Atrium Gallery in Covington, Louisiana, hosted a solo exhibition of selected works. Louisiana Public Broadcasting featured Peg?s story in Season 5, Episode 502 edition of ?Art Rocks?. She participates in art exhibitions and festivals in South Louisiana and has been featured in local magazines. She illustrated David Campbell?s poetry book ?Nature All Around Us?.

She operates from her home studio/gallery in Mandeville and continues to paint throughout South Louisiana, and in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
