Description

What could be better than spending one week in a beautifully decorated private home tucked into the historic Capital District of Santa Fe with one, or two, of you favorite couples while enjoying the more than 100 notable attractions in this high desert oasis!

You and your guests will stay in an attractive, authentic adobe home which is being made available by the owner exclusively for our Burnsville Rotary Comedy for Caring event. The residence has a relaxing  living room, modern kitchen and dining area, three lovely bedrooms and two baths.

The furnishings are comfortable and complimented by an array of tasteful Southwestern art. The home is nestled behind the traditional adobe walls and accentuated with a very private, nicely landscaped patio.

About Santa Fe...Spend some time before arrival...One week is simply not enough time to fully explore all that there is to enjoy and experience...let us suggest a few "must see" destinations...

  • The Plaza on the Square in downtown Santa Fe...The Plaza is synonymous with Santa Fe. It is like a visit to a time long past. Great architectural buildings dating back to the beginnings of Santa Fe itself. Lots of unique shops but best of all are the Native Americans who line one side of the Plaza selling their hand made jewelry. What a unique experience! This absolutely cannot be missed! The Plaza also serves as a cultural center for the residents of Santa Fe and many festivals and celebrations are held in the park in the center of the Plaza.
  • Canyon Road...This is a wonderland of galleries, adobe structures and art styles. Spend time wandering and stop for lunch, coffee or tea along the way. And, if you find something that "speaks to you" you can make an artist happy by becoming a collector.
  • St Francis Cathedral...Amazing architecture, stained glass & artifacts throughout the facility. One of the nicest cathedrals in the southwest.
  • The Santa Fe Opera is a beautiful place to see an Opera. The selections change from year to year and just being at this venue is magical. Go early and bring dinner for an amazing pre-Opera tailgating experience! Performances in July and August.
  • The Lorreto Chapel....This beautiful sanctuary contains a mysterious spiral staircase built without nails, dowels or any visible support. Truly amazing.

Plus many, many more one of a kind extraordinary destinations. You will  want to leave the city and extend you discovery mission to the unique National Parks surrounding Santa Fe which include incredible ruminants of our ancestors dating back to 1250 AD.

Plus, you will also want to save some time to visit Pagosa Springs, the ski slopes at Taos and the gorgeous 60 mile journey from Durango to Silverton on the narrow track railroad aboard a vintage steam engine powerd train.

Believe me you will not have the time to do it all!
