Description

You will enjoy wearing this custom-made necklace and earrings set with a story behind it – and this story you’ll love to tell. Inspired by nature, this jewelry is one-of-a-kind art, created by a true dreamer-artist-sculptor.

Artist Taf Schaefer grew up on Cape Cod, where the teeming oceans and transcendent wild beauty inspired her to become a sculptor, and she earned her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Schaefer began designing lead crystal animals for Steuben Glass, where she was the top-selling designer for the majority of her 14 years there. She expanded Steuben’s global brand with her sculptural vocabulary and unique style, with pieces conveying personality, movement and grace. She is represented in the collections of the Corning Museum of Glass, Cape Museum of Art, Seattle Aquarium, Vero Beach Environmental Learning Center, and in numerous prestigious private, corporate and academic collections.

Schaefer’s jewelry collections are filled with sterling silver bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings - some with gems, stones or pearls and occasionally in gold. All are a reflection of her vision to create innovative, organic jewelry with 1% of profits going to charitable causes.

Roots of inspiration for her HoneyBe™ Collection, where the pieces in this auction are from, lay in the the beauty of organic texture. “I strive to design jewelry that is timeless and dynamic, and that will generate a financial percentage for my Eco-Aid program to support conservation causes,” Schaefer says.

Customers buying HoneyBe™ jewelry from the Taf Schaefer Design Etsy Web site will be gratified to know they’re supporting her cause, Eco-Aid 1% for the Bees, the work being done by scientists to combat colony collapse and the destruction of nature's greatest ally – the Bee.

Be Beautiful wearing the HoneyBe™ Collection
