Description

Another amazing piece by late local artist John C. Menihan, this decoupage features a village canal scene with an almost cinematic air of local enchantment. The various blues and greens used to create the canal and surrounding trees are dark, crisp, and refreshing, while the sky is a warm and light mix of a buttery yellow and soft teal. The foreground features a pair of workers painting a booth a soothing shade of cerulean; they almost leap from the page as they work, giving this piece a three-dimensional, story book aesthetic. This framed and matted watercolor is 15'' by 18'' in size.
