To live a confident, independent life, a young person who is blind or visually impaired needs more than academic instruction. Our Outreach Short Courses immerse public school students in social and educational situations where they learn skills that encourage self-advocacy and self-reliance.
Your gift can help cover the cost of attending an Outreach Short Course at Perkins School for the Blind. Courses offer activities, support, exposure and training in areas that are difficult to address within a structured school day like cooking classes for students who are blind or have low vision.
