Camp Bil-O-Wood was established in 1946 and is located in Blind River, Ontario Canada. Camp BOW has a strong history of tradition, friendship, spirit and adventure. The camp is located 6 hours northwest of Toronto, and half-way between Sault Ste Marie and Sudbury, Ontario. BOW provides a traditional camp experience for boys and girls ages 7-17. BOW's pristine and safe location allows for a premier outdoor camping, canoeing and wilderness adventure program.
With 130 children per session, BOW provides a personalized camp experience. Our staff and directors are able to interact with every child on a daily basis. Our campers come from over 30 states and provinces and from more than 6 countries. 15% of the camper base is international.
The mission of Camp Bil-O-Wood is simple. Our primary focus is to provide experiences, through which children develop new skills, build friendships and create lasting memories. As campers learn and grow they gain self-confidence, self-awareness and self-determination.
We believe in the importance of sharpening each camper's physical and mental capacity for successfully embracing life’s challenges and adventures.
While the world around us becomes more and more complex, Camp Bil-O-Wood emphasizes the importance of getting to know oneself and learning to understand and accept the differences between ourselves and others. We believe that eating, sleeping and playing in the outdoors foster such awareness.
