Description

2 Night Harvest Experience at Chateau D'Esclans

The winning bidder and a guest are invited to Chateau D'Esclans for a two night and three day visit during the 2017 Harvest in mid September. The vist will include experiencing this idyllic setting situated in the heart of Provence during a magical time of the year. Visitors will go on vineyard tours, experience a tasting and have wine makers lunches plus a dinner.

Chateau d’Esclans is a magnificent estate beautifully situated in Southern Provence, near the village of La Motte in the Var, with 267 hectares of vines, most of which are between 60 and 80 years old.

Here, Sacha Alexis Lichine, together with the renowned oenologist Patrick Leon, has created a unique blend of Grenache grapes. His range of wines includes a fine selection of rose and red, all with the AOC "Cotes de Provences", such as "Whispering Angel", "Chateau D’Esclans", "Les Clans" and "Garrus".

Over the centuries, across customs and cultures, few places in the world have had the magic appeal of Provence. For generations it has sparked the imagination as the land of sunlit pastel water and sky, towering clifftop villages and red clay soil.

Chateau d’Esclans picked up Decanter 2009 World Wine Awards for three of its cuvees:

Whispering Angel 2007 - Côtes De Provence, Provence, France

Chateau d’Esclans 2007 - Côtes De Provence, Provence, France
Redcurrant jelly nose. Creamy, soft, complex. Very good length, hint of oak.

Garrus 2007 - Côtes De Provence, Provence, France
Red fruit and spices, faint aromas of oak. Powerful, balanced, good depth, good length.
