Aperitivo (charcuterie/cheese between 2 and 5PM) for 4 People at one of the "lake couches" at Cindy's, Chicago Athletic Association Hotel restaurant. You will have a panoramic view of Millenium Park and Lake Michigan while you relax, nosh, pick out your cocktails and chat about spirits and ingredient experimentation with Nandini Khaund.
Ms Khaund, a veteran bartender at the Violet Hour and The Charleston, among other Chicago haunts, has joined the forthcoming Chicago Athletic Association Hotel at 12 S. Michigan Ave as its "spirit guide." Her main duty, she said, will be directing the beverage program at the new hotel and at Cindy's, its newly opened rooftop restaurant overlooking Millennium Park.
Ms Khaund, one of the bartenders behind the app Craft Cocktail and blog craftcocktailrules.com, will add more of a healing touch to her new drinks served on Michigan Avenue.
"I'm going to sprinkle magic everywhere," Khaund said.
