Description

When parents learn their baby is visually impaired, they are immediately faced with a range of emotions and pressing questions. Perkins School for the Blind sends teachers of the visually impaired, orientation and mobility specialists, and teachers of the deafblind to the homes of infants and toddlers with visual impairments or deafblindness. These individuals access the special needs and abilities of each child and provide customized learning and play programs to help them reach developmental milestones.

Your gift can help cover the cost of a single visit by a teaching professional or mobility specialist to the home of an infant who is visually impaired.
