Description

"François Truffaut Night for Fifteen"

EB alumni parent and former trustee Laura Truffaut Wong will host a private screening of one of her father’s classic films, "L'amour à vingt ans" ("Love at twenty"), at the home of EB Aaron and Stephanie Ross. This short film, the first segment in a five-part omnibus project, reprises the adventures of Antoine Doinel, the hero of "Quatre cent coups" ("The 400 Blows"). It concerns the frustrations of love for the now 17-year-old Doinel and the unresponsive girl he adores.

Enjoy a French buffet and wine before the film. Following the screening, Laura will give you an insider’s view of her father’s films, and her unique and personal reflections will add to our understanding of François Truffaut's monumental contribution to French cinema. The film screening and Laura's insights will give you ample material for stimulating discussion. This evening will be a visual delight in every way.

Item Special Note

The screening will take place on Thursday, November 9th, at 7:00pm. Includes dinner, wine, screening, and discussion.
