Belize is one of Mother Nature’s best kept secrets, and adventure travelers flock there to explore the diverse environment, from Belize Barrier Reef to Mayan ruins to the rainforest.

Adults only, St. George’s Caye Resort is its own private island, a world away, yet only seven miles from civilization. Your stay will be in a Sunset Overwater Cabana, includes three meals each day, round-trip Belize airport transfers, morning coffee delivered to your room and one private romantic dinner.

Your Sunset Overwater Cabana affords you a premium location over the water on their unique circular dock. You’ll have your own private porch complete with hammock and thatched roof ambiance. The Cabana has a private bath, air conditioning and floor and ceiling fans.

Freshly-prepared meals await you morning, noon and night in the Resort’s family-style dining room. Meals are nothing short of delectable. Delight in evening appetizers before feasting on their chef’s inspired Belizean cuisine, while relaxing around a glowing beach bonfire. Sensational exotic flavors of the Caribbean, local fruits and vegetables and amazing homemade desserts are always on the menu.

You’ll have unlimited use of snorkel gear, kayaking, windsurfing, and sailing.

The Resort is located just minutes from Belize Barrier Reef, a true natural treasure and some of the best scuba diving in Belize. St. George’s Caye Resort also offers full-day trips to the world famous “Blue Hole”, where you can delve beneath the surface to discover the Blue Hole’s cavernous spaces adorned with stalactites. Diving lessons and diving trips are offered for an additional cost.

Other, fee additional, adventures include visits to the Mayan ruins, Cave Tubing, Jungle Zip Line and more.

Activities and excursions other than complimentary activities shown on www.BelizeIslandParadise.com, bar and mini-bar beverages, international flights are not included. Valid to December 18, 2017 and March 1 - April 30, 2018. Guests must be at least 15 years old.

Then, spend four nights at the boutique eco-resort Mariposa Jungle Lodge in a Jaguar Honeymoon Suite with private jungle shower for two. This 40-acre retreat is located in Western Belize, near the village of San Antonio, in the beautiful Cayo District. Mariposa Jungle Lodge is close to Mayan ruins, caves, zip-line, horseback riding, and more. Your hosts, Jim and Sharyn, are retired American expatriates.

Included are four 4-course dinners and four full breakfasts, a Champagne welcome, unlimited access of their grounds with nature/hiking trails, swimming pool, orchid garden, and birdwatching/stargazing tower. Also included is a private tour to Caracol Mayan Ruins and Rio Frio Cave with picnic lunch, and round-trip airport transfers.

Mariposa Jungle Lodge is committed to providing a great Belize jungle adventure in a safe, comfortable and environmentally-friendly manner, conserving natural resources and operating with Eco-tourism principles in mind.

As a Belize Eco-resort, they follow practices that assist in the preservation of the ancient rainforest and protection of the bio-diversity of our earth. They also strive to contribute to the local population and protect and preserve the magnificent natural surroundings.

Your Jaguar Honeymoon Suite is a private luxury cabana perfect for honeymooners and couples celebrating their anniversary (or just because!). Your private deck overlooking the jungle features a romantic outdoor shower for two. This beautiful suite also features a king bed, sitting area, electric fireplace with remote control, en suite bathroom, and oversized screened patio with doublewide hammock for two.

Designed for the ultimate in comfort, privacy, and jungle views, your room is beautifully tiled and decorated with furniture handmade onsite with Belizean hardwoods. Mariposa is the only jungle resort in Cayo offering air conditioning and WiFi in all rooms and your spacious cabana also features lush Egyptian cotton linens and towels, unlimited purified drinking water, a stocked mini fridge, and more.

Caracol, where an estimated 150,000 people once lived in a metropolis covering nearly a square mile, is the largest and most spectacular Mayan site in Belize. Located in the Chiquibul Rainforest, only seven miles from the Guatemalan border (if you’re a bird), Caracol is actually larger than nearby Tikal, but not as extensively excavated.

On your private tour, you’ll enter the sleeping and burial grounds of ancient Mayan royalty. Climb Caana, the tallest ruin at Caracol - 42 meters (or take pictures of other people climbing.) It is alleged that Caracol once conquered the larger nearby Mayan city of Tikal in Guatemala.

En route to Caracol you will stop at the tiny village of Augustine, where you’ll learn about the history of logging and current Forestry projects. Then visit the Rio Frio Cave, an awesome walk-through, “guest-friendly” cave, okay even for claustrophobics. Learn about limestone stalactites, stalagmites, columns and other natural formations and photograph the most popularly-photographed site in the Cayo District.

After a picnic lunch at Caracol, your final stop is the Rio On Pools. Opt to hike, photograph, relax, or take a swim in one of the continuous series of natural pools formed within granite boulders, connected by small rapids or waterfalls.

At Mariposa Jungle Lodge, explore the Mariposa Nature Trail. Numerous Belize trees and medicinal plants are identified along the route. Mariposa offers morning Nature Trail guided tours by appointment. A leisurely hike of the Mariposa Nature Trail takes about 45 minutes and leads the hiker to the main path to the Mariposa Birdwatching Tower or back to the Lodge and Cabañas. For guests who prefer to explore independently, a Resort Map is provided at check-in. The map offers directions for more extensive on-sight independent hiking. Guides are available at an hourly rate for guests who prefer to be escorted.

A ten minute hike along a groomed path leads to the Jungle Birdwatching Tower. This sturdy structure is about 20 feet above the ground with a 16 square foot deck and 3’ tall guardrails. The structure allows up to 16 people to sit comfortably taking in nature at its finest. Dedicated twitchers (birdwatchers) love the full 360 degree view with different trees, density, nests, and birdlife. Birdwatching by day, stargazing by night. Overnight sleeping by special arrangement.

When a reservation is confirmed, guests receive a Food Preference Questionnaire to be completed and returned. With this information, the chef and kitchen staff can prepare meals to suit each guest’s tastes and also address any special dietary issues. They gladly modify their menus to meet the needs of guests who are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-sensitive, or suffer food allergies.

Additional jungle tours can be added-on for an additional fee. Lunches, bar and minibar beverages, international flights, not included. Valid until December 18, 2017 and then January 2 – April 30, 2018.
