KPCC’s  Hettie Lynne Hurtes will prepare a delicious homecooked vegan dinner for you and a guest at her lovely home in Los Angeles. You’ll be joined by Winnie Holzman, writer of the book and co-creator of the Broadway hit musical Wicked, and her husband actor Paul Dooley.

Winnie got her start writing for the acclaimed TV drama thirtysomething, and went on to create the several television shows including My So-Called Life, Huge, and Roadies. For film, ‘Til There was You.  She’s written several plays, and is often recognized as the chocolate-obsessed woman in the movie Jerry Maguire and as Larry David’s wife’s therapist on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Best remembered as the hilarious father in the film Breaking Away, Paul Dooley also appeared as the father in Sixteen Candles. In fact, he’s played the father to Julia Roberts, Toni Collette, Helen Hunt, Mia Farrow and many others. Television credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Grey’s Anatomy, My So-Called Life, Law & Order and Star Trek.
