Joe Loverro joined WRIP as Morning Show host and Operations Manager in May 2011. His program can be heard weekday mornings between 6-9am and Friday nights from 7pm-Midnight on 97.9 WRIP!

Coolest / funniest / weirdest moment of your radio career so far? Coolest has to be the woman who told me she was so despondent, she thought of ending it all, but my voice and sense of humor on the radio was the single thing that changed her mind, and got her through it. (this was at WQQQ).
A funny thing was a trivia contest where the question was "name a candy bar that was named for a presidents daughter". A woman called and said "Chunky". I asked what president's daughter, to which she replied "Teddy Roosevelt." This little interaction blossomed into a fake commercial for Chunky Roosevelt Candybars, and even artwork by one of our interns. Of course the real answer was "Baby Ruth".
Then there was the time at WLDB in Atlantic City, when the audio board caught fire while I was on air. I ran to the kitchen area, grabbed a bucket, filled it with water, and tossed it onto the board, which put out the fire!
If they made a movie about you, what actor would you like to play you? Jack Nicholson (older), James Roday (younger).
Famous person (living or dead) you'd most like to have dinner with? Jesus, Leonardo DaVinci, Ben Franklin. Throw in Bruce Willis. What a dinner conversation.
What's your #1 pet peeve? Meanness.
Whom do you admire the most? My dad..
Dog or Cat? Other Critters? Dogs. Lucky, Ziggy and Lacey, all Bichons, in the last 10 years.
