Free-standing ceramic statue with stone on steel base. Approximately 20 inches tall with base.
Working with clay, for me, is a blend of physical energy and meditation. I enjoy the hard, physical work, as well as the quiet and stillness it brings to me. I draw inspiration from the simplified figurative forms of African tribal art and early Mediterranean culture. I began as a photographer, studying and creating still images. I think in some ways the two disciplines are similar for me….I am still searching to freeze a moment in time, an emotion if you will, captured for all to experience."

If you win an item and would like it mailed via certified insured mail, please email lisa.herz@bridges.edu by May 10th and we will do so at your expense. Larger items can be picked up in Studio City, CA or shipped at the winning bidder's expense. Shipping charges for USPS Flat Rate Boxes are as follows: $8 for small boxes, $14 for medium boxes, $19 for large boxes. We will try to use the smallest package size we can. In the event that your item requires additional postage you will be notified and your card will be charged. Bridges Academy is not responsible for items lost in the mail.
