Artist Inspiration:
Kathee’s kittens love yarn and get into trouble with it (knotty = naughty!)
Artist Bio:
Kathee grew up in the Golden area and studied at Arizona State University earning a BFA in Painting and a MA in Anthropology (Sociolinguistics). “My husband and I love the Colorado sunshine, so we moved back here to raise our family."
Her artwork is influenced by her interests in gardening, storytelling, genealogy, and psychology. “I love discovering layers of meaning and hidden stories and I also enjoy incorporating new art mediums into my repertoire." The Foothills Art Center included her random weave baskets in their 2016 holiday art market.
“Knotty Kitty” is inspired by her cats' naughty play with yarn. This complicated and colorful design is Kathee’s first entry into the Tails of the Painted Cats project.
Online Bidding:
We are offering online bidding for the Painted Cats, Flat Cats, Clay Cats and the Paper Cats from May 13th through September 13th. Online bidding will close on September 13th.
Bidding will resume at the Tails of the Painted Cats Gala Dinner & Auction on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Pinehurst Country Club from 5-8pm.
Please note: If you are unable to attend the Gala Dinner be sure to set your maximum bid online by September 13th and we will serve as your proxy bidder during the event.
Winning bidders are responsible for all shipping costs.
The Painted Cat will be shipped through UPS. Delivery signature and insurance will be required. The cost for insurance will be based on the winning bid amount.

All cats will be available for pick up at the Gala Dinner & Auction on September 16, 2017. Cats that need to be shipped will be shipped on September 18, 2017.
