Artist Inspiration:
Jill wanted to do something to honor her Dad as he was the patriarch of the “McFarland Clan.”
Artist Bio:
Jill was born in Denver, CO and grew up in Lakewood. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at Colorado State. Her mother, Jacqueline McFarland, has been her mentor since she learned to grip a paintbrush at the age of four. “I prefer to use acrylics and water based media and I have learned to paint on any surface that I feel needs attention. Several years ago I became interested in Fine Craft and have been painting dried gourds, many of which become suitable for dried flowers.”
Jill has always had a cat in her life. Her current roommate is a 15 year old lady named Pootie. She has survived 5 other cats throughout her long life, (“May they all rest in peace”). Her passions right now are her grandchildren – 5 year old Lily and one year old Wesson. She is hoping to be a Granny Nanny when she retires. Jill also volunteers for the Cat Care Society Food Bank.
Online Bidding:
We are offering online bidding for the Painted Cats, Flat Cats, Clay Cats and the Paper Cats from May 13th through September 13th. Online bidding will close on September 13th.
Bidding will resume at the Tails of the Painted Cats Gala Dinner & Auction on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Pinehurst Country Club from 5-8pm.
Please note: If you are unable to attend the Gala Dinner be sure to set your maximum bid online by September 13th and we will serve as your proxy bidder during the event.
Winning bidders are responsible for all shipping costs.
The Painted Cat will be shipped through UPS. Delivery signature and insurance will be required. The cost for insurance will be based on the winning bid amount.

All cats will be available for pick up at the Gala Dinner & Auction on September 16, 2017. Cats that need to be shipped will be shipped on September 18, 2017.
