Description

Join us for our most popular class! Increase your knowledge of our favorite topic with a cheese tasting guided by one of our experienced cheesemongers. We will discuss the history and process of cheese making and the ways in which our favorite modern-day cheese makers (many of whom we have visited) are embracing artisan traditions. Learn the basics of tasting and building your own cheese plate, plus sample a few wines and beers for good measure. The evening concludes with a rare treat – 10% off any goods you wish to purchase!

Formaggio Kitchen Classes

Our popular tasting classes offer an opportunity to experience an exquisite selection of products and recipes. Formaggio Kitchen mongers choose cheeses that are tasting best at the time and pair them with wine, beer and classic, sometimes surprising, accompaniments. Classes usually run about 1.5-2 hours. For classes held at our Huron Avenue location, we conduct a short tour of our cheese cave at the end of each class. Most classes are held a short drive from our shop at the Formaggio Kitchen Annex location just off of Concord Avenue. Please make a note of the class location provided in the class description. Classes range from introductory cheese tastings, to regional cuisine demonstrations with local chefs and producers highlighting our products through their inspired creations. We regularly serve wine, beer and other non-cheese items at our classes. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance of the class if you have any dietary restrictions by calling 617-354-4750.

For more information about our classes program, please check out our Frequently Asked Questions page.
