Tour Highlights Include:

Access to Ledreborg Palace including Gardens, golf course, lunch at the private Kisserupgården Forest Cottage, lunch at Scandinavian faire Herthadalen by the Lake, zip line course, Vikingelandsbyen Iron Age Village, capped off with the Peace, Justice, and Millennium Gate Prize winner announcement dinner inside the Family Hall Ballroom followed by a laser light show over Ledreborg Gardens.

Private tour and lunch at The Hermitage Royal Hunting Lodge. The Lodge at Dyrehaven was built far from the court in Copenhagen as a leisure palace where King Christian VI could host private hunting parties.

Peace Concert at Roskilde Cathedral and private tour of Danish Royal Family Mausoleum including the former tomb of the Danish Princess Dagmar, who became Russian Empress Maria, mother of Czar Nicholas II.

Private tour of Kronborg, Eslinore, Hamlet’s Castle by our expert lecturer:

Accommodation:

For the first 3 nights, guests will be staying at the 4-star, newly renovated 71 Nyhavn Hotel in Copenhagen situated on the Nyhavn Canal near the Hans Christian Andersen house. For 200 years, this hotel has been standing between the foamy sprays from the harbor and dynamic life along the Nyhavn Canal.

The last 4 nights will be spent at Skjoldenaesholm Palace Hotel near Ledreborg Palace in the Danish countryside.

Tour Price: 

$9,500 per person (double occupancy)

$10,500 per person (single occupancy) - additional $1000 will be coordinated for payment since you can only pay $9,500 right now.

Saturday, June 24th:

Morning Check In at 71 Nyhavn Hotel in the Centre of Copenhagen near Hans Christian Andersen House

Lunch on your own

Early Afternoon Tour including visit of the Little Mermaid Statue, Copenhagen Cathedral, Amalienborg Palace Square, Copenhagen Residence of the Danish Royal family, Copenhagen Citadel (Kastellet) Tour.

Tour Thorvaldsen Museum with the museum director and National Monuments Foundation classicist Rodney Mims Cook. Thorvaldsen worked in a heroic neo-classicist style and he was seen as the successor of master sculptor Antonio Canova. He was received as a national hero after decades of study in Rome, and this building was constructed to honor his work.

Dinner at Kødbyens Fiskebar (Fish Bar):

Perhaps one of the most famous restaurants in Scandinavia. This restaurant is the brainchild of former sommelier of Noma, Anders Selmer. Cool industrial-style restaurant in the former meat market district serving simple, fresh seafood dishes.

Visit of Christiansborg Palace, which is the Seat of Government with access to Royal Reception Rooms, The Royal Kitchen, the Ruins and the Royal Stables

Lunch at TÃ¥rnet Afternoon Choices:

Situated in the tower of Christiansborg Palace, TÃ¥rnet celebrates and reinvents Danish food traditions. Experience the flavors of Denmark – pickled green tomatoes, raspberries from the backyard and freshly baked rye bread. The furniture, plates, cutlery and lamps are Danish – and so is the produce in the kitchen. One of the best views in the city. You must pass the famous tapestries hall to get there.

This is the most visited art museum in Denmark with an extensive permanent collection of modern and contemporary art with works of the great impressionists and expressionists. It also includes Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Pablo
Picasso, Robert Rauschenberg, David Hockney, Henry Moore, and Alexander Calder among others.

Frederiksborg Castle:

This impressive and unrivalled Renaissance castle was built in the first decades of the 17th century by the legendary Danish King Christian IV and incorporates the best of Renaissance architecture and craftsmanship. A tour through the museum's many beautiful rooms is an encounter with kings, queens, nobles, the bourgeois, events, and epochs, which have all shaped the country's history and development from the Middle Ages to the 21st century. Prince Joachim married Princess Alexandra of Denmark here on November 18, 1995.

Tour Danish Royal Family Mausoleum, Roskilde Cathedral, including former tomb of the Danish Princess Dagmar, who be- came Russian Empress Maria, mother of Czar Nicholas II. She is in the sunray of the coronation painting of her son.
