This selection of Dolcetto comes from the Musso family vineyard situated in the Sierra Nevada foothills halfway between Auburn and Placerville. Low yields, outstanding selections of Italian budwood, and careful farming allow the vineyard to produce one of the best examples of this varietal anywhere. A huge noseful of bright red fruits followed by spice in the mouth and a resurgence of fruit for a long and very soft finish. This wine pairs well with pasta, pizza, and tomato based Italian food.
