Welcome to the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile, red-lined route that leads you to 16 historically significant sites ? each one an authentic treasure. Explore museums and meetinghouses, churches, and burying grounds. Learn about the brave people who shaped our nation. Discover the rich history of the American Revolution, as it began in Boston, where every step tells a story. 

The Freedom Trail Foundation offers a daily schedule of public walking tours featuring several sites along the Freedom Trail.

Walk Into History Public Tours is The Freedom Trail Foundation's most popular tour.  It highlights the revolutionary history that took place at 11 of the historic sites of the Freedom Trail, including Boston Common, Massachusetts State House, Park Street Church, Granary Burying Ground, King's Chapel, Site of the first Public School, Old Corner Bookstore, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, site of the Boston Massacre, and Faneuil Hall.

This 90-minute tour departs from the Boston Common Visitor Information Center and concludes at Faneuil Hall, or begins at the ArtsBoston Bostix booth at Faneuil Hall and concludes at Boston Common.
