Led by the superstar mandolinist Chris Thile, this acoustic band of "brothers" have solidified their status as one of the most exciting groups in acoustic music, living on the cutting edge of genre-bending artistic innovation.
The Chicago Tribune called their latest album, 2015's The Phosphorescent Blues, "[a] melange of avant-roots music that fuses jazz instrumental chops and acoustic earthiness, Beach Boys harmonies and Debussy string dances, slinky acoustic rock songs and blues laments."
