Ron Whitehead was born and raised in Laurel, Maryland. After graduating high school in 1989, he joined the United States Army for four years. He deployed to Iraq with the 1st Armored Division and fought in Desert Storm.
After being honorably discharged from active duty, Ron joined the Maryland Army National Guard while matriculating at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania. He majored in Art Education for his undergraduate degree and has been teaching art in the Ossining School District (NY) for the past eighteen years. He also has a Master?s Degree in Instructional Technology through Western Connecticut State University.
