Professional Guide Wes Hodges offers a full-day float trip for 2 people on the legendary New River in pursuit of either Muskie or Smallmouth Bass. Wes welcomes first timers or the highly experienced to fly fish. All equipment is provided for the trip.
One of the oldest rivers in the world, the New River starts in the mountains of North Carolina and flows through Virginia all the way to Ohio. It is home to some of the countries largest smallmouth bass and muskie, both of which we target on the fly. The New River offers us three seasons of solid smallmouth bass fishing and two seasons to pursue muskie. We guide on over 60 miles of floatable water, 20 of which are in some of the most remote locations on the East Coast. As you find yourself thinking about casting large poppers along summer growth weed beds, allow us to turn your moment of reverie into reality.
