The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is the largest and one of the oldest municipal police departments in the United States, with approximately 36,000 officers and 19,000 civilian employees. The NYPD was established in 1845, and today, is responsible for policing an 8.5-million-person city, by performing a wide variety of public safety, law enforcement, traffic management, counterterror, and emergency response roles.

This experience includes a 2 to 4 hour Ride Along in a police vehicle with NYPD police officers while they are on patrol. Bidder will have their choice of a ride along in one of the following 5 boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island, Queens.

You'll experience firsthand what its like to be a police officer on patrol during a tour of duty in the busiest city in America

This opportunity is only open to New York State residents over the age of 18.

All applicants are subject to a thorough background check. Each participant must sign a waiver and wear a bullet resistant vest that is provided by the NYPD.

Each applicant must sign a waiver affirming that they are aware of the inherent dqangers involved in police work and may be exposed to such dangers, including but not limited to, those risks involved in a marked police car on patrol responding to 911 calls or unexpected occurences of an emergency, criminal or violent nature. Body Armor must be worn at all times.

The use of cameras, recording devices and cell phones are strictly prohibited.
