Description

8 week session of Fencing Lessons

Our fencing programs introduce students to the many benefits of this Olympic sport. Beyond the fitness benefits, fencing promotes intellectual development, decision-making skills, self discipline, and confidence, all taught in a safe, supportive environment. Loudoun International Fencing Club and it?s staff are insured members of the United States Fencing Association. Our camps, lessons and classes focus on electric Epee fencing, the modern evolution of the rapier duel. Epee fencing is the most straightforward of the three Olympic Fencing disciplines: the athlete that hits first scores the touch and the whole body is target.

Our facility provides features supporting the training of fencers with a low-impact rubber floor to increase fencer comfort and help prevent injuries, as well as the type of grounded aluminum strips and scoring machines used at national tournaments. A lounge with free coffee, tea, wifi, water, homework station, and comfortable couches is provided for parents, fencers and visitors. This is a family-owned and family-operated business. The owner is a doctor of biomedical engineering and the mother of an NCAA fencer and former gymnasts.  She designed the club to provide a supportive environment for both fencers and parents. Friendly staff, often the owner herself, are available to answer questions during classes and open fencing.

Please join us for a fun workout, fencing, and new friendships.
