CHRISTY DAWN makes all of its garments from "deadstock" - the remnants of fabric that large scale designers and manufacturers leave behind on the sewing table. Some estimate that there are 40 billion square meters of leftover textiles worldwide each year. Fabric that would end up in landfills. In the interest of sustainability and individuality, CHRISTY DAWN is committed to creating limited edition pieces using only deadstock.
Every CHRISTY DAWN piece is made by local artisans in Downtown Los Angeles, sewn with longevity in mind. We use deadstock fabric to minimize our environmental footprint, and instead of creating thousands of garments at a time, we sew a limited number of pieces, numbering every dress we make.
