Pass for 10 Capoeira classes (adult or youth). Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian cultural art, started during the slave trade in Brazil, as a way for slaves to practice self-defense without getting caught. It is a rich martial art form that combines dance, acrobatics, culture, music, and community. Students who train regularly benefit from increased coordination, strength, flexibility, discipline, compassion, and tolerance. Capoeira teaches lessons that allow students to grow as people outside of training. As a capoeirista, you become a part of a global community full of wisdom and experience.

Parking is extremely difficult in this area. We recommend public transportation. But if you must drive, parking at Newberry Plaza, 1030 N. State Street is $8 for 3 hours. Entrance to the garage is tricky ? it?s near the Connie?s Pizza entrance, and here is a map for the parking lot.
