Part cheap eat, part culinary invention, theyve been part of the backbone of the urban pub food scene since the early days in Los Angeles at the Coles Pacific Electric Buffet, or at Phillipes, depending on who youre talking to. Theyve got all the comforting fundamentals we love the combination of good meat, fresh bread and of course, the au jus, pan scraped with care. The Dip is a big, meaty sandwich with a long tradition we respect.
In 2016 we had a wonderful opportunity to revive a landmark space on Broadway and continue the tradition of timeless dining experiences on the Upper West Side. Maison Pickle was designed to evoke elegance and glamour yet still echo the legacy of the American diner. We pay homage to the space's former resident, Ouest, the Upper West Side pioneer of fine dining frequented by artists, writers and performers. Our hope was to create a timeless experience.
